About Qiita Bash
Qiita is a technical knowledge-sharing and collaboration platform widely used by engineers in Japan. Qiita Bash is its in-person talk series: each edition brings developers together around a specific theme for presentations and discussion. This event focused on practical uses of generative AI, including coding assistants and image-generation tools.
In Japanese technology meetups, “LT” is short for “lightning talk,” a compact presentation designed to share one experience or idea. My talk focused on adoption inside a client-work team rather than a feature-by-feature comparison of AI editors.
What I shared
After one month, team members reported faster implementation, less effort spent on refactoring and tests, and easier exploration of an unfamiliar codebase. Adoption was gradual, however. People had different editor preferences, projects had different development environments, and the range of Cursor features made structured learning important.
The main point was that introducing an AI editor can encourage wider use of AI, but a single mandatory tool does not fit every engineer or project. We kept adoption optional, shared tips and project examples internally, and allowed Cursor to be used alongside existing editors.
